Lead Spriter/Animator Position!

Well things are getting a bit heavy for us two, so we’re opening 1 position for an on-call Lead Animator/Sprite Pixel artist! Of course, this will be a paying gigaroonie!

The sprite design of Cryamore is very simple. No detailed shading, just pretty much flat colors with minor highlights and minor shadow. General size of Esmy/NPCs range from 150 to 200 pixels in height. 8 direction, isometric-style movement (which is halved because Esmyrelda and many NPC/monster designs are symmetrical for the most part; you’d only have to draw one side and mirror it for E/W angles and the like), walk (and run, for Esmy). Attack animation frame counts would vary depending on attack/ability. (Esmy is the most heavy on the number of animations as she’s the player character).

We can provide rough animations, as we’re not solely looking for someone to fully take on the role of spiriting/animating every single thing in Cryamore, as we are also doing the work as well. However, if someone possesses the skill to animate, sprite well, and has a keen sense of animation to even direct us two and would like to take on the role, then we will welcome that as well. (We feel that folks who excel in an area would give us a better idea of how things should be. So there’s no elitism here, if you have that “eye”, then we’ll most likely go with it!) In the end, expect that you will not be doing all the “grunt work”, as we will be working right along with you.

Having someone to primarily delegate this to (and most importantly, someone who has a forte at doing this) would be very helpful and beneficial to the overall progression of Cryamore. We are getting deeper into coding and background production, so we will definitely appreciate the third hand in the asset pipeline wheel. Again, we’re paying for this!
